HR Manager

The HR Manager leads the Human Resources function at Easy Facility Services — overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, statutory compliance, payroll management, and HR strategy. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building a high-performing, compliant, and people-first HR function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the HR team — HR Executive, HR Assistant, and Tele-caller
  • Own the talent acquisition strategy — develop sourcing channels, build candidate pipelines, and reduce time-to-hire
  • Oversee all statutory compliance — PF, ESI, professional tax, bonus, gratuity, and Tamil Nadu minimum wages
  • Lead payroll management — ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all internal and deployed staff
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks aligned with company values and legal requirements
  • Build and maintain a strong employer brand — position Easy Facility Services as an employer of choice in Chennai
  • Manage employee relations — handle grievances, disciplinary processes, and performance management
  • Develop and implement employee engagement, recognition, and retention programmes
  • Ensure complete and audit-ready HR documentation for all employees — internal and deployed
  • Lead HR audits and inspections — ensure full readiness for labour inspections and statutory audits
  • Partner with operations, finance, and senior management on workforce planning and organisational development
  • Prepare and present HR performance reports — headcount, attrition, compliance, recruitment metrics — to senior management

Requirements

  • Any degree from a recognised university — MBA in HR strongly preferred
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Deep knowledge of Tamil Nadu labour laws — PF, ESI, minimum wages, Contract Labour Act, Gratuity Act, Bonus Act
  • Proven experience managing payroll for large workforces including contract and deployed staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Tamil and English
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and HR/payroll software

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience as HR Manager in a facility management or staffing company in Chennai
  • Experience managing HR for a workforce of 500+ employees including deployed staff
  • Exposure to HRMS or ERP systems for workforce management
