Assistant Facility Operations Manager
The Assistant Facility Operations Manager supports the Facility Operations Manager in overseeing all field operations across assigned client portfolios in Chennai. You will manage a team of Executives and Supervisors, ensure service excellence across multiple client sites, and play a key role in client retention and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of Facility Operations Executives and Supervisors across assigned client portfolios
- Monitor overall service quality, attendance, and compliance across all assigned sites
- Conduct regular client review meetings and ensure client satisfaction at all managed accounts
- Support the Facility Operations Manager in planning manpower requirements, deployment, and budgeting
- Handle escalated client complaints and operational issues that cannot be resolved at the Executive level
- Oversee manpower planning — ensure adequate staffing levels across all sites at all times
- Review and approve operational reports submitted by Facility Operations Executives
- Support new client onboarding — site surveys, scope definition, staff deployment planning
- Monitor statutory compliance for all deployed staff across assigned portfolios
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to the Facility Operations Manager
Requirements
- Any degree from a recognised university — MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in facility management operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Proven ability to manage teams and multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Strong communication skills in Tamil and English
- Proficiency in MS Office — Excel, Word, PowerPoint for reporting and presentations
- Experience in client relationship management at an operational level
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance — PF, ESI, Tamil Nadu minimum wages
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in an Assistant Manager role in a facility management company
- Experience managing a portfolio of 20+ client sites
- Knowledge of facility management software or ERP systems
